PURPOSE OF MEMORY KEEPERS - It is important to preserve memories in the life of a child and his parents, while the child is growing up. This not only emphasizes incidents, events, activities, and memories as they occur, but preserves them for tomorrow so the individual can revisit them or share them with others.

USING MEMORY KEEPERS - In the journal, the individual can write his thoughts, impressions, and feelings. He can describe activities and events. He can discuss his problems and challenges and how he overcame them. He can list the goals he set, and record his achievements over the years. The camera allows the individual to take pictures of important events or activities. He can then put these photos in the photo album, along with other photos taken on another camera or via his parent's camera. Both writings and photos reinforce each other. Both are meant to preserve memories and history in the life of a child and his parents.

This package can be used by a parent, youth, or older child. If a child is young and has limited writing skills, the parent can start writing in the journal for the child and put some photos from the parents camera into the photo album.
