Customers EDITORIAL POLICY - Our objective is to provide products and services that are applicable to the greatest number of people. Thus, we want them to have as much universal appeal as possible. To help us do this, we strive to minimize the number and types of distinctions made between men and women, age groups, races, generations, religions, cultures, etc. However, we do make distinctions when necessary. In this way we can still be accurate, yet provide products and services for the broadest audience. We strive to be fair, and present as complete of picture as necessary for a topic. We stress common sense and the need for being practical. We are not hesitant to use the word "should" in emphasizing good conduct or better ways to do things. We will use labels like good and bad, moral and immoral, ethical and unethical, legal and illegal if we think they are appropriate. After all, we live in a real world and must deal with things as they really are. People can have different opinions, viewpoints, perspectives, or positions on issues than us. Thus, they may disagree with what we say or write. They may also have additional information on a topic covered via a product or service. Such individuals may submit their ideas via the Reader Response page of this website. PRODUCTS - Normally, our products cost money, but there may be some that do not. BOOKS - We publish and sell books. In 2004 the book Better Parenting : A Simple Approach was published. In 2009 we will publish the book Topics To Discuss With Children And Adolescents . In 2010 we expect to publish another book. All book projects cover themes related to the Life Perspectives. DOWNLOADS - Some of the written materials we produce are published in the form of downloads. They are described on the Books and Downloads page. A download may be free, or sold for a price. Currently we offer The Parent-Child Meeting Form. We will soon be offering Learning Activities, for children and adolescents, as downloads also. LIFE PERSPECTIVES - We provide information on six Life Perspectives for people to use in daily living. See the Life Perspectives page for more details. PROGRAMS - We offer programs to the general public, as well as to groups and organizations.These programs can vary from a speech or lecture that is 60 - 90 minutes in length, to a class or seminar that is 2-3 hours in length. All programs are given to help people make improvements in their lives at home, at work, or in the community. A large variety of program topics is available, and all such topics support the Life Perspectives directly or indirectly. To learn more about our programs, go to the Programs page. BLOGS - Colleen Pulley has two blogs. "Colleen In The Kitchen" offers many good recipes. "In Step With Colleen" has entries that cover a wide variety of interesting topics. INDIVIDUALS - These are people who want to learn, grow, develop, and find fulfillment in life. They'll read and test out new ideas. They look at how they're doing and strive to make improvements in their lives. They stay active throughout life. They help others as well as themselves. Are you this type of person? As stated on the home page, everything on this website is provided to help you run your life and manage your affairs in the best manner possible. We strive to offer materials that help you to make improvements in your life and assist you in helping others improve their lives. The ultimate goal is for you to find personal fulfillment, happiness and joy. If this is what you want, then our products and services will interest you. If you have any feedback for us about any product or service, please use the Reader Response page to offer your opinions and suggestions. We'll respect and utilize the information you provide. Individuals can obtain our services online. They can get our products by reading about them on various website pages and then using the Order page to obtain the ones they desire. GROUPS - We offer products and services to groups and organizations. They can utilize our website like individuals, including the same Order page. However, groups can receive a quantity discount on items like books. They must contact us directly to receive a discount. Another option for groups is our Programs for Groups. The group officially sponsors the program, and we work with them to present the material they want. We offer programs primarily to local groups in the Portland Oregon Metropolitian area, but arrangements can be made for groups outside this geographical area. These programs can be in the form of speeches or lectures, and seminars. They can vary from 30 minutes to 3 hours in length. The topics for the programs can vary. There is usually a fee for our programs depending on the type of group, program length, audience size, and materials given out to participants. If your group is interested in a program, contact us for more detailed information on arranging a suitable program for you. We offer The Parents' Toolbox package,which is described on the Books and Downloads page.. There are specific groups who should be interested in this material. These include : Parents, Family Support Groups, Homeschoolers, Teachers and Educators, Counselors and Social Workers who work with parents and their children. See the Interest Groups page for more details. COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS - We sell and distribute products, primarily books, via commercial customers to the general public. These customers include distributors and wholesalers, bookstores, and libraries.
